2020 Contenders
The dominant technology remains Lithium Ion Phosphate (LFP).
However the following technologies remain in the mix:
- Cobalt Oxide (LCO);
- Manganese Oxide (LMO);
- Nickel Cobalt Aluminiium Oxide (NCA);
- Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide (NMC); and
- Titanate Oxide (LTO).
Solid State Batteries (SSB) are fast rising contenders while sodiium-based batteries also offer strong advantages.
